Students who participate in the poster session should prepare a 3x4 foot display of their work (or alternatively provide a series of letter sized sheets). Ideally, the students would use type-fonts similar to slide presentations (i.e. not just a copy of their paper), attractive graphics and coloring. Posterboards and clips will be provided. During the Tuesday evening poster session (of the 1st week) each student will present their board to the other participants, who may have questions about their work. Many tips for creating a successful poster can be found online, including http://library.buffalo.edu/asl/guides/bio/posters.html and http://www.swarthmore.edu/NatSci/cpurrin1/posteradvice.htm. An excellent example of the format is Thomas Mertens' presentation, which you can see here.
